Testimonies of Hope

IRAN
Since January, thousands have been protesting against the corrupt political and religious system in Iran. In the midst of darkness, Christians are experiencing how God is encouraging them and working through them.

“These days are difficult,” reports Dalia, a Christian from our network in Iran. “People are walking the streets with tears in their eyes. When people hear that we are Christians, they say, ‘Thank God we met you!' We Christians don't pray because we see no other way out, but because prayer is the strongest and most effective thing we can do right now.”

One day, a Christian named Roz* is sitting in the park in front of his house. Suddenly, he hears God's voice very clearly. He is to speak to a woman nearby. “Talk to her—I want to heal her,” is the command given to Roz.

Roz reports: -- I notice a beautiful young woman behind me. She looks healthy and not like someone who needs healing. It doesn't seem particularly wise to me to just approach her like that.“ But Roz is obedient and addresses the woman.

To his surprise, she says, ”I threw all the Korans out of my house and asked ChatGPT what I would have to do to become a Christian. I prayed, but I don't really know if I'm a Christian now. -- She begins to cry and says she has multiple sclerosis and cannot walk without help. That day, she gives her heart to Jesus Christ and joins a home group. Her health has since improved significantly.
